Education Funds: CareerConcept Expands Cooperation with University

Munich, August 10, 2011 - Munich’s Career Concept AG has expanded its successful years of cooperation with the GISMA Business School in Hannover. Now GISMA can provide tailored, purely income-based education funds to finance part-time students for the first time.

Since 2002, CareerConcept has been providing education funds and financing students all over the world in over 300 universities and over 20 countries using this model. "Our income-dependent study financing is a type of security for the future potential of the graduates,” said Rolf C. Zipf, Executive Board member of CareerConcept AG which has developed and managed the education funds at GISMA since their inception." Universities such as GISMA which issue their own education funds to finance tuition demonstrate their confidence in the quality of their program, thus broadening the applicant base – and are also in the same boat as the students and graduates with respect to the economy,” states the education fund manager.

At GISMA, the participants of the upcoming weekend MBA program (study start in 2012) pay during the study period EUR 500 per month directly to the Business School. In addition, from the date of graduation, they pay a percentage of the fee as a portion of earnings (usually between 9 and 13%). The amount is determined individually prior to the beginning of studies and this is done in conjunction with the earnings situation and career plans.

For interested participants, education funds provide a realistic basis for planning. Dr. Annegret Zurawski, Academic Director of GISMA explains the value of this offer: "This way, study is also possible for those who cannot bear the total cost at one go." GISMA does not expect securities from the applicants. Zurawski: "We have confidence in the potential which is achieved through an MBA course at our facility." The best prerequisite for promotion from education funds with Career Concept is only the qualification of the candidate. "And the candidate brings his qualifications with him when he is accepted to study at GISMA. We therefore encourage our prospective customers to invest in their own career by studying in our MBA program."

CareerConcept (www.career-concept.de) is the "pioneer" of privately financed education funds (www.bildungsfonds.de) - also known as study funds - in Germany. For this purpose, companies, foundations and private investors invest capital which funds the studies of selected students. After a successful career start, the funding recipients pay back a portion of their income to the education fund to ensure studies for subsequent generations.
