Germany - Land of Ideas (2010)
The "Germany - Land of Ideas" stands for ingenuity, creative passion and visionary thinking. The world’s first company-owned education funds which were initiated by Fest and managed by CareerConcept were awarded in 2010 as the “Place in the Land of Ideas”. Festo education funds are the answer to the shortage of engineers. Engineering and technology students receive financing according to the proven principle of income-contingent repayment as well as a great deal of occupation-oriented qualification measures. A network of partner companies and universities creates an "Alliance for Education" from which more than 300 finance recipients have benefitted so far. The partnership of Festo and CareerConcept has thus produced a unique lighthouse project based on how businesses can invest in improving the educational situation which was honored with the award in 2010.
